What Is B.ELED & D.ELED:

B.El.Ed and D.El.Ed are both teacher training programs in India. However, there are some key differences between the two programs.

B.ELED stands for Bachelor of Elementary Education. It is a four-year integrated professional degree program that can be pursued after completing senior secondary (class XII) school. The B.El.Ed program prepares students to teach in elementary schools, which are schools for children from ages 6 to 14.

D.El.Ed stands for Diploma in Elementary Education. It is a two-year program that can be pursued after completing senior secondary (class XII) school. The D.El.Ed program also prepares students to teach in elementary schools.

Types of B.ELED:

B.ELED. (Bachelor of Elementary Education) and D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) are both teacher training programs in India that prepare candidates to teach in elementary schools (Classes I to VIII). However, there are some key differences between the two programs.

B.ELED.

Duration: 4 years

Eligibility: 10+2 pass with 50% marks

Admission: Entrance exam followed by counseling

Full-time: The full-time mode of B.ELED. is the most common option. Classes are held during regular school hours, and students are required to attend all classes and participate in all activities.

Distance: The distance mode of B.ELED. is a more flexible option, as students are not required to attend regular classes. Students are provided with study materials and are expected to complete assignments and projects.

Online: The online mode of B.ELED. is the newest option, and it is becoming increasingly popular. Students are able to access all of their course materials online and can complete their assignments and projects at their own pace.

B.ELED. (Bachelor of Elementary Education)

    • Minimum qualification: 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
    • Age limit: No upper age limit.

      Additional eligibility criteria for B.ELED.

        • Candidates with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) are eligible for direct admission to the second year of B.El.Ed.
        • Candidates appearing for their Class 12 final examinations are also eligible to apply for the B.ELED. course, provided they meet the minimum eligibility criteria.
